Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) recently pledged $5,000 to the Wentworth Economic Development Corporation (WEDCO) through the Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) of New Hampshire's tax credit program. The Bank's investment allows WEDCO to continue offering economic development services and resources to New Hampshire businesses in the eastern Lakes Region.
"We're so thankful for this generous contribution from MVSB," said Denise Roy-Palmer, Executive Director of WEDCO. "Contributions like this one make it possible for us to continue our valuable work. By providing financing and assistance to established and developing businesses, WEDCO contributes to the creation of jobs and the growth of our local economy."
"Meredith Village Savings Bank and its employees are proud to support WEDCO. We applaud and stand behind their mission to help local businesses prosper. It's very rewarding to be able to make contributions to outstanding organizations like this one," said Rick Wyman, President of Meredith Village Savings Bank.
CDFA tax credits allow businesses to fund qualifying economic or community development projects in exchange for a tax credit that can be applied against state business tax payments. For more information about the CDFA, visit nhcdfa.org.
